

Born on June 13, 1934, in Ludington, Michigan, Patricia was the daughter of Edward Gust and Anne Marie Laiskonis. Throughout her life, she was known for her caring nature and generous spirit. Patricia had a heart full of compassion and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Patricia’s heart was filled with love for travel, and she held a special place in her soul for the breathtaking views of Niagara Falls and the serene beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She found immense joy in the simple pleasure of antique shopping, where each discovery seemed to hold a story of its own. Her passion for knowledge led her to cozy libraries, where she would search lovingly for a good book, finding comfort and adventure within their pages.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Christine (David) Harken, her beloved grandson, Jeremy Sturm, granddaughter Jean Rief, and her great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Gonzalez and Matthew Britton, and Ben and Will Rief. Patricia also leaves behind her cherished furry companion, her dog Marta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Jennifer Vanderstelt, grandson Brian Harken, and many dear family members and friends who went before her.
Patricia will be remembered for her warm heart, her love for life’s simple pleasures, and the deep love she held for her family. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
