Paul E. Morrison, age 95, was born on February 27, 1915 to the late James E. and Hazel H. Morrison, in Ashland Township, Newaygo County, and passed away at home on December 11, 2010. He was married to Josephine ‘Jo’ Reinoldt in Newaygo on November 18, 1935 and moved to Muskegon in 1937 where he and Jo purchased a home and have lived ever since. Paul is survived by his wife of 75 years, Jo; three daughters, Karen Smith, Betty (James) Neel, and Deborah (Bradley) Hyde; son Paul J. (Carol) Morrison; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son in law, Chuck Smith; two brothers, Emory (Wilma), and Norman Morrison; two sisters, including his twin sister, Pauline (Kenneth) Bull and Elaine (Gus) Johnston. Paul was an Electrical Engineer and Master Electrician. He worked at the Central Paper Co., S.D. Warren, and Scott Paper Co. He was retired from J.E. Sirrine Engineers and Architects. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Life Member of the Lovell Moore Masonic Lodge 182, Life Member of the Scottish Rite Shriners of the Saladin Temple, Life Member of B.P.O.E #274, and a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tom and Mary Amy Sanocki and their Polka Melodies and VNS and Hospice and the wonderful nurses at Hackley Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at the Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5 to 8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriners Hospital.
