Peter A. Christian

Peter “Pete” Christian Jr., age 88 of Muskegon, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 after a lingering illness. He was born March 16, 1927 to Peter Sr. and Elvira Christian. Peter graduated from Muskegon High School and attended Muskegon Community College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Peter attended Calvary Bible Church and retired after 20 years from CWC Textron in Muskegon. He enjoyed camping with his family, fishing and cherished his grandchildren. Peter is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley (Bentley) Christian; his children, Susan (Kent) Syers, Gregory (Mary) Christian, Barbara Christian, Bradley (Colleen) Christian; step-daughters, Monica Ely, and Melanie (Donald) Parsons; his 9 grandchildren; his 6 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Christian; his sisters, Joy Degroat, and Lois Hinton; and his stepson, Scott Marshall. A memorial service for Peter will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11am at Calvary Bible Church; 4617 Grand Haven Rd. in Muskegon. Fellowship and a light luncheon will follow the service.
