Rachel was born on September 16, 1988 in Muskegon, Michigan to parents Lawrence Johnson and Jennifer Ritz.
Rachel was a sassy, strong- willed woman, with a wonderful sense of humor. She always knew how to make you laugh. Rachel was a mother to three amazing children, Eddie, Jordan, and Kaelyn. She worked for several years as a cook in the food service industry. Rachel had a variety of hobbies, including music, dancing, cooking, shopping, and flowers. She also really enjoyed spending time bowling, painting, and taking her kids, nieces and nephews out for a good time. Rachel was a light in many lives, She had a huge heart, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Rachel is survived by her children; Eddie, Jordan, and Kaelyn; mother, Jennifer Ritz; sisters, Stephanie (Jeffery Mulder), and Miranda; nephews, Isaac, Alex, and Isaiah; nieces, Josie, and Trinity; special aunt, Sue Ritz; several other aunts, uncles, cousins; and dogs, Gizmo and Smalls.
Rachel was preceded in death by: her father, Lawrence “Larry” Johnson; grandparents, Ritz and Johnson; uncle, Daniel Shields; and best friend, Kassie Ward.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue Muskegon. Visitation will take place on Thursday at the Funeral Home from 4-7PM.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Rachel’s family to help with final expenses.
