Richard Alan Cunningham

Richard was born February 2, 1951, the son of Jack and Phyllis Cunningham. Richard graduated from Ravenna High School. After high school he earned a Bachelors degree from Grand Valley State University. He married the former Linda O’Brien and celebrated 37 years of marriage until her death in 2009. He owned Cunningham & Co and was a friend and trusted advisor to many clients. He enjoyed the family property at Oakwood Resort in Hesperia on Campbell Lake where he spent summers since childhood. Richard was smart, witty, sometimes gruff and incredibly close to his children both in childhood and especially as adults. He will be cherished forever by all those who knew him.

Richard is survived by: his children, Marcia Phee and her partner Richard Phee, Bryan Cunningham and his partner Kaitlin Bird, Steven Cunningham and his partner Dianna Cunningham; former daughter-in-law who he remained close with, Misty Cunningham; grandchildren, Charlie, Alice and Kayle; mother, Phyllis Cunningham; brothers, Gregory (Margaret) and Bruce. Richard is also survived by his beloved dogs, baby Faith and Bear-dog.

He was preceded in death by: his wife Linda; father, Jack and sister, Barbara.
