Mr. Richard Allen Forton, age 75, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012. He was born in Muskegon on June 15, 1936 to Robert and Zora (Dunn) Forton. Richard is survived by his wife, Lillian (Wamser); children, Rodney (Jeanie) Forton of Muskegon, Kathy Morton of Sault Ste Marie, MI, Shelly Morton of CA, and Kelly Morton of Baldwin, MI; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl (Donna) Forton of Muskegon; brother-in-law, Marshall Kelly of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Patsy Kelly. Richard had been owner and operator of Forton Auto Service for many years. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the White Lake Golf Club. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 12, 2012 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice.
