Robert L. McCormick, age 87, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015. Robert was born on April 23, 1928 in Muskegon to parents Harold and Helen McCormick. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. Robert enjoyed going snowmobiling earlier in life, golfing, square dancing, and travelling with his wife in their motorhome after retirement. He also enjoyed his time spent with close friends and family. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children: Janet Shepherd and William (Laura) McCormick; grandson, Zachary McCormick; siblings: Mary “Mimi” and John. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, Rosemary McCormick, and brother, Jim. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00pm until the time of service.
