Ron worked for Muskegon Piston Ring for 18 years and then Port City Group, retiring after 29 years of service. He was an avid golfer and also loved bowling.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Raymond and Donna Ellis. In laws Dale and Sarah Vanderlaan.
Ron is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sue Ellis; children, Melissa (Tony) Ellis, Michael (Heather) Ellis, Matthew (Jonathan) Ellis; grandchildren, Mallory, Layla, and another grandchild on the way; sister, Susan (Bob) Stemm; golf buddies and best friends, Dave Engle, Tom Felgenhauer, Cal Curow, and Chuck Galy; many extended family and friends.
A private graveside service will take place later at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
