Rosa Ramirez Reyes, beloved wife and Mother, peacefully passed on to join our Lord on Friday, March 13, 2020, at the age of 81. She was a devoted wife to Jacobo Reyes since 1966 and a loving mother to her four children, Maria Walters (Jim) of Muskegon, Michigan, Raquel Carrillo of Chicago, Illinois, Adolfo Reyes of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Enrique Reyes of Muskegon, Michigan. Her legacy lives on with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rosa’s compassion for her family extended into her career by serving her community as a Certified Nurse Assistant. She cared for the elderly at local area nursing homes. Rosa was passionate about cooking, and she was creative and enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and crocheting blankets. Rosa was born in Brownsville, Texas on the 8th of December in 1938 to the late Francisco and Virginia Ramirez. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Francisco Ramirez, and sister, Elena Gracia. Surviving siblings are Esmeralda Perez (Inocente) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Fernando Orneles of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Services will be held at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 East Keating Avenue, Muskegon, Michigan. Visitation with the family is Thursday, March 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Following Friday’s visitation, the family will celebrate Rosa’s life with a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Eric Stratton. A private interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
