Roy was born April 6, 1932 in Muskegon. He was the son of Merlin and Edna Feister. Roy attended Muskegon Public Schools. He then joined the Marine Corps during the Korean War. On December 26, 1953, he married the love of his life Grace Rouhmel Bonifield. They had 3 sons. Roy and Rouhmel spent many winters in Florida.
Roy is survived by his 3 sons, Ronald (Miriam), Randy (Cindy), and Rick (Renee); 6 grandchildren, Jeremy (Teddie), Brad (Kelly), Jessica (Rob) Brock, Cory, Jason (Jeanette) and Matthew; 10 great grandchildren, Paul, Tanner, Kylie, Ezra, Everleigh, Rowan, Alex, Vincent, Emily and Sam.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and grandson Brandon, brothers, Albert and Gerald.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 14, 2023 at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel 1783 E Keating Avenue. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
