Sandy was born and raised in Muskegon and attended Angel School on Apple Avenue. She went on to work for many years as a lunch lady and playground aid for Muskegon Public Schools. She married her love, Richard DeWolfe Sr., on April 2, 1960 and the couple spent 53 wonderful years together until his passing in 2013. She was a member of Wolf Lake Methodist Church for 15 years and a member of the Golden Eagles. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and doing crafts. Above all, she loved spending time with her friends and family.
Sandy was preceded in death by: husband, Richard DeWolfe Sr.; daughter, Brenda Wessel; sisters, Charlotte Borr, Nancy Cramblit, and Peggy Davis; brother Ronald Weck; and her parents, Beyrle and Kathryn Weck.
Sandy is survived by: children, Dannie (Rena) DeWolfe, Kathie (Jim) Bruce, Rick (Susan) DeWolfe, and Mary Ann (Virgil) Quimby; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Jan Anderson; as well as other extended family members.
In accordance with Sandy's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Wolf Lake Methodist Church, 378 Vista Terrace, Muskegon, MI 49442.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wolf Lake Methodist Church.
