Shirley was born December 3, 1941, the daughter of Lyle and Mureil Turpin. She worked at Muskegon Piston Ring for many years. Shirley enjoyed gardening, taking care of her home, thrift shopping, and being a caregiver. The most important thing in her life was always her family and friends. She was a loving, giving, funny, “all-knowing”, generous, kind hearted, strong-willed mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed.
Shirley is survived by: her sons, Dan and Dave (Connie) Daniels; grandchildren, Benjamin, Brandon,
Deanna (Chris), Justin, Christine, and Lindsey; 10 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; sisters,
Carol (Mike) Morrow, and Barb (Ken) Mitchell; several nieces and nephews; and her former husband,
Steve Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by: her sister, Patsy; and former Husband Terrance.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes cremation will take place and no public service will be held. There will
be a gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life in the spring.
