

Stanley John Yonker was born in Muskegon Michigan, On December 19, 1930, to John and Grace Yonker. He went on to be with Jesus at the age of 95 with family and Charlotte on January 25 at Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living, Hudsonville, MI.
Stanley’s outstanding teen and high school years were highlighted by pursuing the love of his life, Charlotte Bolema in which he would marry, and have 5 children, and one of the greatest number of grandchildren anyone has known. Stanley was a High School starter and super athlete in basketball, and quarterback of the football team, and other sports for the Muskegon, Big Reds.
So, Stanley fell in love with, and would marry Charlotte Bolema, and they would be married for 75 years, with a friendship for 79 years. Stanley kept his love for all sports, basketball, baseball, golf and after high school became an integral part of Yonker’s plumbing business for 25 years. At age 37, Stan answered the call to the ministry and went to a Hope College/Western Seminary and graduated from both schools and became an ordained minister. His ministry journey took him to Kentucky, Canada, South Florida, and Wyoming. He would not want us to leave out his time in Silver Lake, MI as he was doing school. Oh, he had a love for SILVER LAKE, and the dunes, spending time at the cottage with family!
Before retiring, he would build homes, taking up residence in Spring Lake, MI. Stanley authored 3 books: one on New Birth, one on the New Creation Army, and one with the theme, “God is a Giver, Satan is a taker”, in Christ you can live a long time. For the last 2 decades of his life, he has been enthralled and focused on the end times, and the Love of God. Stan was a beloved Elder and member of All Shores Wesleyan Church. He also had many Bible studies, worship times, and was a part of jail ministry in Grand haven area.
Another love of his life was visiting offspring scattered throughout the United States. How many people can boast that they have 109 grandchildren. The Joy and love of his life was hanging with “Toots” loving, imparting, laughing, playing, and sharing God’s love with family and friends. Stanley was known as excited, wholehearted, fun loving, energetic, focused on heaven and focused on the Love of God. He is now reaping his reward in the presence of God.
Stanley John Yonker, husband, Father, GrandFather, passed away peacefully, 8:30am, Sunday, January 25, 2026! He is survived by his lovely wife Charlotte E. Bolema Yonker (Tootsie) and 4-daughters: Sherry (Greg) Cole, Debbie (Tom) Van Bronkhorst, Sandy (Jim) Zwiers, Cathy (Tim) Pomp, Daughter-in-law: Michele Ann Yonker. He was preceded in death by Mother: Grace Langland Yonker, Father: John C Yonker. Siblings: Nick & Thea Yonker, Carol & Jerry Jacobson, Joyce & Lyle Prince. Daughter-in-law: Lorri Zwiers Yonker. Son: Steven Lee Yonker. 1st Grandson: Jeffrey Jon Cole. Stan has a huge tribe following of: 39- Grand children, 63-Great Grand children, and 7-Great Great Grand children. And has many nieces and nephews as well!!
A visitation will be held at Ever Rest Funeral Home of Muskegon on February 23, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service is scheduled for February 24, 2026, at 1:00 pm at All Shores Wesleyan Church, 15550 Cleveland Street, Spring Lake, MI, 49456.
