

Tom was born in 1947 to Irwin and Maxine (LeMieux) Huber in Muskegon where he grew up. He and his wife Barbara moved to Zeeland twenty years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents Irwin (John) and Maxine; brothers Terry and Paul as well as sister Vay Ann Huber. Tom is survived by brothers Philip (Lydia), Casey, and sisters Amy (Kyle Veitenheimer) Huber and Natitia "Tish" (Steve) Winton. Tom was adored by numerous nieces and nephews, and their children.
Tom's love of education/learning led him to university study in Michigan, New York, Ohio, Illinois, South Carolina, and Georgia. His degrees included: Associate’s, Bachelor's and Master's followed by many courses of study. Tom was a wonderful conversationalist, was interested in politics, enjoyed jazz music and loved time spent with family and friends. He was a faithful friend nurturing many friendships for over 50 years.
Tom loved to travel and visited more countries and landmarks than most of us could name. They included: Europe and Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Tom retired from the Muskegon County Road Commission, and previous to that was a teacher and held numerous other jobs.
A celebration of life to honor Tom will be held on April 18th, 2026 (Saturday) at 11:30 at Ever Rest Funeral Home, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon.
