

Wallace Jay Poole, Sr., age 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Wallace was born on May 26, 1940 in Charlevoix, Michigan to parents Elmer and Margaret (Simpson) Poole. He worked as a machinist at Brunswick, retiring after 30 years. Wallace enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a fan of all Michigan sports, but especially loved the Detroit Lions. Wallace will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years, Beverly (Bailey) Poole; children: W. “Jay” (Barbara) Poole, Kathy (Patrick) Cain, Craig (Dawn) Poole; grandchildren: Brianna Poole, Ryan Poole, Leah (Tim) Slot, Emily (Matt) Boogaard, Ashley Poole, Kyle Poole, Brooke Thrall, and Marlee Cain; great grandchildren: Elijah Boogaard, and Aislee Thrall; siblings: Margaret Bushor, Elaine Budde, and Lewis Poole. He was preceded in death by both parents; siblings: Elmer Poole, Wilma Keubler, Joan McKenney, Patricia Lamb, William Poole, and Nancy Eaton. A celebration of Wallace’s life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel (1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon). The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
