Amy enjoyed volunteering with Mountain View School, Dufferin Place and the Nanaimo Hospital. She was heavily involved with Trinity United Church and Woodgrove Christian Church. Amy enjoyed travelling and was always wanting to take the scenic route or the back roads. Many of these trips were to visit family. Amy enjoyed gardening and had a great knowledge of the names of all flowers. In later years she enjoyed her adult colouring books, bible crosswood books, answering the questions on Jeopardy , reading stories to the third generation, and writing her life story.
Amy was always happiest when she was surrounded by family. She was grateful to family that enabled her to remain in her home for over 40 years.
Think of Amy , when you drink tea from the good China, walk at the ocean and when you see beautiful flowers. Remember her and listen to others stories and say a prayer.
A memorial service via zoom will be held to celebrate Amy’s life on March 28.
