Bruce Wallace Bailey

With great sadness we announce that our father, son, and brother Bruce has passed away.

Bruce was born in Victoria, BC and graduated from Mount Douglas Secondary School in 1973. He worked in several fields in his youth, but ultimately established himself as a skilled kitchen designer based in Nanaimo, BC. He was also a talented photographer, singer, violin and guitar player. He enjoyed camping, fishing, curling, golf and playing pool. He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast who embarked on many road trips and Toy Runs.

He seemed to know just about everyone and will be greatly missed by his wide circle of friends including those from The Wellington and motorcycle communities.

Bruce was predeceased by his father Wallace and brother Mark, and is survived by his loving mother Lillian; daughter Carmen (David) and sons Justin and Joel (Samantha); grandchildren Lucas, Aubrey, Georgia and Wyatt; brothers Ian (Carol) and Jim (Sandra), sister Janet, and sister-in-law Raja; many nieces and nephews, their children, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the backyard of a private residence at 3796 Apsley Ave in Nanaimo, BC on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 2-4pm. An additional event for family only will be held later this summer.
