Carol Florence Luella Piper

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Florence Luella (Crozier) Piper on Dec 21, 2025. Carol passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness. She is survived by the love of her life Jack Galbraith, who shared a love of their Saskatchewan roots and dancing. They created a beautiful home together with beautiful gardens and enjoyed life and people they shared it with. Carol is also survived by her two children Robert (Chris and family) and Sarah (Peter) and three grandchildren Isaac, Josie and Dominic.

Carol was welcomed as the ‘baby’ of the Crozier family homestead on June 9, 1941, near Summerberry, Saskatchewan. She was a big help on the farm especially during harvest time. After graduation Carol left the farm and traveled to Winnipeg to enroll in a Lab Technician program. After completing her training, she worked in Ottawa and Victoria before settling in Lantzville. She worked in the NRGH Hospital Lab for many years, taking time off to raise her children before going back. Carol ended her career working in the Satellite Lab. She had many stories which she shared with us about her life in the lab.

Carol made many dear friends throughout her life. Mom and Jack cherished their friendships and kept many people close over decades inviting them over for parties especially Grey Cup {Go Roughriders!}, Christmas and New Years. She loved playing cards – Crib and Aggravation being favourites. Many people benefitted from her hospitality enjoying coffee and homemade baking on the sundeck and having suppers enjoyed by all!

Carol enjoyed time with Jack, family and friends and was often reminiscing about her time on the farm and adventures she took or experienced with her family and friends. She had an amazing sense of humour and was never one to mince words. Carol enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, watching her birds, dancing and visiting. She will be deeply missed.

There is no memorial service planned.
