I met Gerry about 10 years ago. I only knew him for a couple of years while I lived in Nanaimo but he made such a big impact on my life in that short time. He was very sweet and kind hearted, you could tell the moment you met him. I really enjoyed hearing about his life stories and looking at his photos during our visits. Sometimes I would run into him sitting at the Tim Hortons with his friends, which was such a treat for us both.
Sending condolences to his family and friends.
Rest in Peace with Leona, Gerry.
Your friend in Ontario xo

I met Gerry when he was 95 .
There was something very special about him.
I loved listening to his stories.
He had a wonderful sense of humour, right until the last time I saw him. He cared deeply for all his family and enjoyed showing off their photos on his iPad.
He always said "I dont know what I'd do without Al.
Rest in peace dear Gerry.
I will never forget you

Hi I am very heart broken. with the passing of my friend Gerry.he was not only a tenant where i worked but also a very close friend. He made me laugh. and. I enjoyed are coffee dates where he told me about his many stories from the past .When he showed me pictures of his great grand children .the little lad and the sweet little girl his face lighted up they were very special to him.Al was a very important part in his life and always said not sure what i would do if anything happened to him and was more concerned of his health then his own. I will miss that smiling face but know you are now with your wife and your children ,you are all together again...Rip Gerry one day I hope to see you again
