It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our sister Jan Stephens (nee Cowan). After a lengthy, painful illness she chose to leave us on August 21, 2020 at 8 pm. She invited family and friends to sing her favourite songs and support each other while she chose assisted dying. She was her usual feisty self, a fighter to the end, promising us all that she would visit us from the other side !
She leaves behind her brother Al, and sisters Melody, Carol, Jacqui and Donna. She is survived by a huge loving family of nieces, nephews, cousins and partners as well as many wonderful friends. She loved you all.
Her message to all who knew her: “ I left this world the same way I lived it - On My Terms. Yesterday is gone - tomorrow could be a shit show - so make today the best possible day you can.”
