It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Peggy on November 22, 2025.
Peggy was born in Co. Galway, Ireland in 1944. It was in Ireland she completed her nursing training and she continued to care for others throughout her entire life. On St. Patrick’s Day in 1969 she married Tom and they soon after immigrated to Canada together and began new adventures and raised a family. It was in Canada that their many friends became family.
Peggy is predeceased by her husband Tom (1997), her parents Michael and Delia Donohue, her brother Gerard (Sher) and her sister Sr. Lucia. She is survived by her three daughters Fiona, Una (Christian) and Colleen (Kevin), her four granddaughters Sofia, Ella, Aly and Katya, as well as nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
A memorial for Peggy will be held Monday December 22, 2025 at 2pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 6234 Spartan Road, Nanaimo.
