

Margo Turner passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 19, 2024.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Turner, her sons Adam Turner, wife Valeria, and Gregory Turner, wife Caralyn, and her grandchildren: Iain, Bryn, Saoirse, Aoife, and Lorienne.
Born in Liverpool on May 2, 1944, Margo took the difficult Eleven Plus exam and successfully passed which entitled her to an advanced education which led to her becoming an outstanding nurse on the Isle of Man and eventually in London, England where she was a Head Nurse responsible for wards.
In Quebec, her passion for the arts led her to return to school to study Art Education. She graduated top of her class with distinction at Concordia University in Montreal, taught art classes at a Quebec High School where she became known for being a hands-on teacher who inspired her students.
Her craft skills were outstanding, started knitting at five, and became a master knitter, spinning and dyeing her own wool.
Inspired by her then little boys, she wrote songs such as the letter “Z” for Sesame Street on CBC which proved to be popular and were sold worldwide.
Throughout her life she made the most out of her creative and intellectual gifts in serving others with the many benefits of her talents.
