Michael "Mike" William Jensen

Mike was a beloved husband and father. Leaves behind wife Sherri, Keya, Jim, granddaughter Gigi and dog Goodwin; Mike’s brother Alan and sisters Sandra and Karen, their partners and children. Mike adored his nieces and nephews, he proudly watched them grow into adults. Mike had many friends in different circles. People mattered to Mike.

Born into our VI forest industry, his Dad worked at Youbou. Jensens lived in a few VI mill towns; Lake Cowichan, Nanaimo, Tahsis. Mike is well known in our Central Island lumber industry, as a tradesman and employer.

Mike was always an avid sportsman and donated toward environmental stewardship. Mike changed in his later years, becoming a catch and release fisher. Releasing more big fish than most people catch in their lives! Mike was genuine and passionate about issues he thought mattered.

His warm heart and generous spirit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
