It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter. Aggressive cancer took him in a few short weeks. Living a third of his life in Lachine, Quebec, Peter grew up fishing on Lake St. Louis. British Columbia called and in the early 1970s he moved to Vancouver Island where he spent the rest of his life. A commercial fisherman for the majority of his working years, Peter crewed on salmon trollers up and down the BC coast. Peter loved dogs, especially poodles. Patches, his cat, will miss him.
Peter will be remembered by his sister Francine, brother-in-law Barry, sister-in-law Barbara, nephew Jamie and by close cousin Penny, other cousins, family overseas and the Brown Family. Peter leaves behind his two sons, Joey and Chris and grandchildren. His close friends Susan, Bob, Rae and Billy will miss Peter. Peter's closest friend Belinda took on the role of his advocacy. Belinda was on the spot, helping him understand and cope with his diagnosis, driving him to appointments, helping him manage his medications, providing physical care giving and most importantly, emotional support. Thank you Belinda.
Think of Peter when you see a fish jump.
