Visitation will be held on June 18, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Independent Haitian Church of God, 3709 Guilford Rd., Naples (Florida), FL. Funeral Service will be held on June 19, 2021 at 9:00 am at First Haitian Babtist Church of Naples, 14600 Tamiami Trail Tr., Naples (Florida), FL.

Biography

Dr. Alex Berns Evins Plancher was born on November 2, 1978 in Jean-Rabel, Haiti to Reverend Evins Plancher and his late wife Marie-Paulette Gernigon-Plancher. Alex was the oldest of 3 children. He attended the « Escuela Latinoamericana de Medicina » in Santiago, Cuba and graduated with a MD degree in 2005. In 2009, at Charles III university of Madrid, Spain, he completed a Master of Public Health. He spent many years working in his hometown as a family physician. He served as the medical director of several institutions including Immaculate Conception Hospital (Port-de-Paix), Our Lady of Peace Hospital (Jean-Rabel), and Starfish Ministries (Gros-Morne). Dr. Plancher also served as a clinical administrator for Project Medishare for Haiti and the director of
Northwestern Region Public Health Office. His most recent occupation was at the Florida Department of Health in Broward County.

Dr. Alex Berns E. Plancher enjoyed traveling, playing the keyboard, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving and caring son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, and friend; always putting others first. « To know him was to love him ». His memory will be forever cherished by his father Reverend Evins Plancher, his brother and sister-in law Dr. Robenss & Judith Plancher, his sister Rhode and brother-in law Guy Petiote, his nieces & nephews Ashley, Sebastian, Robyn, Ryan, & Ryleigh. He will be sorely missed by his fiancée Landy, his entire extended family and friends, and by the community he served.
