Dear Abuela. You and papi  are the greatest grandparents a kid could ever have. 1111 holly gate lane will never be the same. Thank you for being there for me and helping me grow up. Without you 2 I wouldn't have been who I am today.  Thank you for everything you have done for me. You are the nicest and most caring person to have ever graced this earth. You and papi are truly missed. I love you and papi so much.

Mi Mammi, I miss you so much, you were the greatest mother anyone could have. I remember when I was a child at the dinner table and didn't like the food, you would always make something else for me.("as my spaniard Father would be giving you a hard time about it, and you would say I dejame chico"...)You were so caring with everyone that came over. How you always walked each person to the door when they were leaving and always waving goodbye as they drove away. How you never told dad when I did something wrong.("and that was always".) The afternoon milk shakes you always made for me. How I always enjoyed cooking on your Birthday. I remember when Teresa and I drove all over Miami to get your Cuban rocking chair, that only lasted 6 month, then went to the rocking chair graveyard in the back. But most of all you were my Mother and I always loved making you happy. Say hello to Dad and Mercy, and I will see you all one day...

Abuela i am very fortunate to have met you, i learn from your beautiful  family what i great and brave  woman you were, now you can rest in peace with abuelo, thank you for the wonderful man you raised, im glad you got to meet your great grandson,  we will miss you so much and will be remembered for the rest of our lifes, i love you and may all the beautiful  memories stay with us.

 Abuela was a loving grandmother and amazing mother and I couldn't ask for anything more in life. She was my world and was always there when I needed her. Rest in peace you will be missed! Love you Abuela

I am going to miss you very much. I was very fortunate to have you as my abuela. You meant the world to me. I will never forget all the time spent with you. Thank you for giving me amazing memories: from the delicious homemade fries you made, to the snacks you prepared after I got home from school, playing old maid, papi and you taking care of me everyday after school and during the summer, all the talks we had in the rocking chairs outside, and cooking with you. I got my love of cats from you. Thank you for giving me my own picture wall. I will hold your memory forever in my heart. The last six months have been very hard but I  know now you are not in pain anymore and you are with Papi and Tia Mercy. Te quiero mucho con todo mi vida.

El jueves por mañana, cuando mi padre me llamó con la noticia de tu fallecimiento, yo estaba triste, pero también sentí paz en saber que ya estás reunido con Abuelo. 
Desde mi niñez, tu estabas poniendo enferma. Me da lastima de decir que, yo creo, que nunca  tuve la oportunidad de conocerte de verdad. Nunca pude hablar sobre tus pasiones, tu juventud, tus sueños de la vida. Nunca voy a conocer la mujer que mi padre y mis tíos se van a recordar de. Cuando yo era una niñita, yo no practicaba español, así que no podía hablar con usted sobre todas las cosas que me gustaría saber con pasión hoy en día. 
Yo sé que gustabas bailar, pero de niña, tu padre lo prohibió. Sé que tenias una hija que se murió infantil. Esos son cositas que tu me dijiste durante los años, cuando recordabas de algo. 
Siempre me voy a recordar que unas de tus canciones favoritas es Quizas, Quizas, Quizas. Me aprendí eso un día cuando nosotras dos estábamos sentados en la sala. Yo puse mi música para calmarte y por milagro tu recordaste todas las palabras de la canción. 
Con todo eso, si puedo decir que voy a recordar de una abuela amorosa. Una abuela que siempre estaba preguntando si yo quería algo de beber o comer. Una abuela que amaba los gaticos y el color rojo. Una abuela que me hacia dos desayunos porque se olvidaba de la primera. Una abuela que siempre estaba chequeando si las puertas estaban cerrados. 
Abuela, tu siempre vas a tener un espacio en mi corazón y espero que podamos encontrarnos nuevamente algún día.
