Born on October 1, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, Debbie was the eldest of three children and the only daughter of Harry David Rogale and Marguerite M. Rogale (née Cousinaeu). Debbie carried herself throughout her life with grace and dignity. She was a talented artist, seamstress, and homemaker. In later years, she had an administrative career in healthcare. She loved fashion and beauty and always dressed to the nines - even for a simple trip to the grocery store. She had a way of making ordinary moments feel like special occasions.
Debbie always loved her family and she showed that love in action. She was in the stands at football games, in the audience at dance recitals, and present at school events big and small. If it mattered to her children, it mattered to her. Holidays and birthdays were especially important in her home. Birthdays were celebrated like national holidays, and at Christmas she always wrapped extra gifts to place under the tree because “you never know who might show up for Christmas dinner.” Her heart was big, as she cared for her parents and her late husband into their old age. She had an immense love for dogs and had many fur-children throughout her life.
Debbie is preceded in death by her late husband, Austin Ellwood Lynch; her parents Harry David Rogale and Marguerite M. Rogale; her brothers, Robert Rogale and Kenneth Rogale; and nephew Matthew Rogale.
She is survived by her children, Andrea, Nicholas, Vanessa (Greg); and stepchildren Debbie (Kevin), Joe (Sarah) and David; and many stepgrandchildren. Her traditions, her resilience, and the memory of her love will live on in those who carry her forward.
Her family extends gratitude to the care team at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for the compassionate care and support shown to Debbie and to those who loved her.
