Donna was a loving sister and sister-in-law who will be greatly missed.  We remember her visiting in Massachusetts during college vacations as a doting young aunt entertaining our three small daughters. She was creative with her recent greeting card ventures, and we'll remember her sense of humor and bright personality.  She left us all much too soon.

Visiting my grandmother during summers meant I would get to spend a day with my Aunt Donna. It seemed there was always lots of puppies, big and small at her home to play with and on her kitchen window sill was a magical bird that would continuously bob back and forth for water.  She was the creator of clever homemade Christmas gifts long before Pinterest. 

She was  a tremendous dog lover, dedicated to rescues and, I’m pretty sure, she understood what they were thinking.  A week after our first Golden passed, she completely understood when I told her I was having a difficult time  living in a house without tripping over a dog.   Almost instantly, through her incredible network, she found our Max. 

She was an incredible role model for retirement living.; eating healthy, driving Jeeps, kayaking , fishing and staying blond.  I looked forward to her amazing handmade Christmas cards each year, adding the new one to past years’ on my shelf. 

I will miss her when I’m in a long line and can no longer text her. Her humor was wonderful! I will miss her advice, hearing stories on family history and learning about what she’s up to next. 

We plan to celebrate her life with brownies in the very near future. I love you Aunt Donna. 

It is with great sadness that I learned today of Donna's passing.  Donna was a beautiful person, physically and spiritually, who loved life.  These last years were particularly happy when she lived and shared good times with special friends in Naples.  Donna (her middle name was Marion), our brother Douglas and I were born to parents Robert and Marion Campbell.  We grew up in North Adams, Massachusetts.  She graduated from Drury High School and later from the University of Massachusetts with a degree in education.  Donna taught for years in the North Adams school system.  She was married to Larry Burdick and they later moved to Williamstown, MA.   Donna retired as a teacher and subsequently worked as a store manager in Bennington, VT, and later at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, before moving to live in Naples.  Donna loved her special dogs and volunteered as an officer and board member at a rescue group in Albany, NY, while living in Williamstown.  She was an active and fun person!  While in Florida she owned several Jeep vehicles over the years looking and living younger than her numerical age.  Donna was a very precious sister and we were blessed by her years with us.  She is now with Jesus!
