Ms. Thelma...

Just learned of Mr. Hodges' passing, and want to extend my belated expression of condolences.

You and Mr. Earl were grand friends, when I lived in Naples. Your kindness and generosity to a new graduate made big changes possible.

Having read the postings of so many others, I see the wonderful way you treated me and my family was the way you lived, rather than the fact I grew up with your nephews, etc.

Thank you for being one of a pair of great role models.

Thelma ad Family,
I was saddened to learn of Earl's death. He was a very special person and touched many lives in funeral services, the community, and Florida. They just don't make them like him anymore. Sorry I couldn't attend his funeral service, as we were conducting Congressman Bill Young's funeral at the same time.

Love and sincere sympathy.

Thelma, Naples has lost a great humanitarian and you have lost your life partner. Seeing Earl during his visits to the white elephant, I came to appreciate his gentle personality and winning smile. My thoughts are with you at this time from Rhode Island.
