

Elizabeth P. Crane died on September 4, 2012. Betty, as she was known, was born in Framingham MA on April 20, 1924 and grew up in Roslindale MA as the only child of Joseph and Anastasia (Conrick) Cronin.
She graduated from Regis College in 1945 with a bachelor’s degree and embarked on a long and successful business career. Betty first served in the Legal Department of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. She later owned and operated Elizabeth Cronin Fashion Footwear in Winchester MA. After the death of her first husband, Arthur D. Healy, Esq., she joined the Massachusetts District Court system and served as First Assistant Clerk of the Brighton District Court. She retired in 1984 and moved to Naples, FL with her husband, William ("Bill") Crane, now deceased.
During her many happy years in Naples she served in various business and charitable organizations and was on the board of the Bayside Villas condominium association. She was always busy with friends; her talent was in her gift with people. She encouraged the best in all. She was a wonderful, vibrant woman who loved her family and friends and centered her life on them. Time spent with Betty left one feeling better than before.
Betty is survived by her sons, David of Weston, MA and Francis of Saugus, MA. She has eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Nana made each one feel as if they were her ‘favorite’. Her family will miss her kindness, generosity, and heart.
Services will be held at Saint Ann Church, Naples FL on Tuesday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m.
