Elizabeth Conner Treadwell, 88, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Terracina Grand in Naples, FL. Elizabeth “Libby” was born December 29, 1922 in Montgomery, AL but moved shortly after to Arcadia, Florida where she grew up and graduated from DeSoto High School. A long-time Naples resident, Elizabeth and her family moved to Naples in the early 1950s.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Lee Treadwell in 2007. He was a former judge and practiced law in Collier County for over 50 years.
She is survived by her four children, Patricia (Bruce) Quayle of Panama and Michigan, Thomas Lee Treadwell, Jr., Lowndes (Donna) Treadwell, all of Naples and Matthew (Debbie) Treadwell of Lumpkin, Georgia; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at First United Methodist Church, 388 First Avenue South, Naples, Reverend Rich Kirschner, presiding, followed by interment beside her husband in the family plot in Oakridge Cemetery, Arcadia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avow Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
