On July 6, 2024, a loving, caring soul slipped into heaven to join God, angels and her devoted husband in eternity. Frances Clara (Leveling) Radice was 101 years and 7 months old.
She began life in Navada, MO on Nov. 9, 1922 with parents Henry and Katherine (Karhoff) Leveling and 5 siblings. All have preceded her in death.
Family life meant helping at the small homestead raising chickens for eggs and meat, milking their cow for fresh dairy products and growing vegetables to preserve for winter storage. It was a simple and loving environment that shaped her into a strong independent woman that influenced many younger women to achieve their full potential.
In 1944 she moved to Chicago, IL where she met her future husband, Richard V. Radice, at a dance. They were married on December 25th 1944 just before he was given his Navel orders during World War 2. They were married for 75 years with many ups and downs yet devoted to each other without question. Throughout her life she was a very caring and generous person lovingly raising her children, was active in the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary, helping senior citizens in Chicago through her church and giving even in death as she donated her remains for medical research to the Miller School of Medicine in Miami.
She is survived by her 7 children, 22 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
