Frank Ernest Porro, 93, of Naples Fl, passed away on October 23, 2020 at his home in Naples, Fl.
He was born in Springfield, Ma October 04, 1927 to Theresa Porro and Alexander Porro and lived in Longmeadow Ma. several years moving to Naples in 1995 upon retirement.
Frank graduated from Technical High School in 1945 in Springfield Ma. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corp Transport Command. After returning home, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from American International College in 1951. At College, he was a member of Phi Delta Mu fraternity.
Frank worked for the Hamilton Division of United Technologies Corporation in Engineering Program Management, Finance & Contract Administration. Following an early retirement in April 1987 he worked for the Defense Logistics Agency at Kaman Aircraft as an Industrial Specialist.
Frank was involved with Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball in Longmeadow, Ma for several years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ruth Porro of Naples, Fl whom he married July 4,1952, his wife of 69 years; daughter Maribeth Kaine (Jeff) of Somers, Ct, two sons David Porro of Madison, Nj and Robert Porro of Omaha, Ne. He also leaves five grandchildren Timothy Porro of Boston, Ma, Brittany Buzzerd (Colin) of Washington D.C., Tyler Kaine of Austin, Tx, Joshua Kaine of Somers, Ct, and Matthew Porro of Omaha, Ne. His parents and sisters Geraldine Brazeil and Alice Racicot preceded him in death.
A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 12:00pm at St. Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, Fl. The Funeral Mass will be publicly livestreamed and friends and family wishing to view the mass virtually may do so by visiting St. Johns website at the time of the service at (www.sjecc.com). Interment will immediately follow Mass at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boys Town Organization (www.boystown.org).

Dear Ruth, David, Maribeth, Rob and Families.
Please know that our prayers and hearts are with you on the Passing of Frank. He was a dear and personal friend and will be forever missed by us. Frank was a special person and leaves a legacy that will be memorialized in you, forever. Our lives have been changed by Frank's passing, but we have many wonderful memories, as well, to reminisce about. Frank's goodness, faith and love for family has earned him a place in heaven and he will watch over you and his friends , as well, from his heavenly dwelling. May God bless you with strength in dealing with with the loss of a great husband, father and grandfather. Your friends always.
