He was born on Father's Day, June 20, 1943, to Robert and Nancy (Russo) DeFrancesco.
He leaves his wife, Margaret Nagy, Carol Sazima, the mother of his sons, Michael (Sandy) and Don (Tina), his grandsons, Nick and Connor DeFrancesco and Jax Gregory.
Fred was a life-long resident of the South Euclid-Lyndhurst area and attended Brush High School. In the early 1960's he played lead guitar with Cleveland group Bocky and the Visions, was an avid (often disappointed) Browns' fan and owned DeFrancesco Landscaping for 39 years.
A dear friend said of him, "He showed a special love for each of us... and this is why it was so easy for us to love Fred."
His life will be celebrated on June 20, 2026, with details to follow at cleveland.com obituaries section.
