

Harold Edward “Whitey” Regan a Pittsburgh, PA native and resident of Naples, FL since 1983 passed away on November 30, 2014, at the age of 90. He was a graduate of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and received a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH. He was a proud Navy veteran of WWII, making 7 trans-Atlantic crossings during the war.
Whitey was employed by Capital University as a professor and Head Basketball Coach and later in his career he was the Golf coach. He retired Professor Emeritus in 1982 and was later inducted into the Capital University Athletic Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Regan, his beloved mother, Anna Russell Regan, his brothers, Frank and Charles, and his wife, Hope Regan.
He is survived by son, Kevin Scott Regan and he will be dearly missed by his daughter, April (Tom) Bringardner; grandchildren, Ryan (Kate) Bringardner, Andy (Allison) Bringardner, Naples, Florida; Beth (Nick) Bresnahan of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Regan of Pittsburgh, PA., and his great-grandchildren, Hayden, Dalton, Charlotte, Mary Louise, and Myles; also his dear friend, Tina Powell of Plymouth, MI.
Whitey loved the Lord before all else. He was a humble and generous man, a devoted father, grandfather and loving great-grandfather.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church (Chapel) of Naples, 3000 Orange Blossom Dr. at 10:00am on Friday December 5, 2014. A private family inurnment will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church Memorial Garden at a later date.
