Harriet Brenner Lurye

Harriet Brenner Lurye, born in Brooklyn, New York was the daughter of Max Brenner and Fannie Prager.

She was an exemplary student, graduating near the top of her high school class. Harriet married her childhood sweetheart, Bernie Lurye, and her passing ended their 63-year union.

She raised four children, Bill, Fonda, Michelle (Northrup) and Robert, and instilled in them the importance of social justice and harmony.

Harriet leaves six grandchildren and one great grandchild, and is preceded in death by her brother Stanley.
