Horst was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Jacob and Emi on September 27, 1934. He went to Trade school in Frankfurt. He married Christa in June 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany. He worked as a Graphic Communications Executive for Peake Printers in Cheverly, Maryland for over 30 years. He retired in 1999 and moved from Annapolis, Maryland to Naples, Florida.
Horst is preceded in death by his wife Christa and son Mitchell Kissel.
Horst is survived by his son: Juergen Kissel (Kimberly); daughter: Caroline Kissel; sister: Renate Pohl (Kurt); grandchildren: Ian (Natalie) and Drew Kissel; and great-grandchild: Lincoln.
A Private Celebration of Life Gathering will be held by the family.
