On August 17, 2025, in Naples, Florida, Jeffrey Louis Houser passed away peacefully at the age of sixty-nine. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, laughter, and unwavering love—a life defined not by titles or accolades, but by the depth of his heart and the strength of his character.
From a youthful age, Jeff embraced the values of hard work and kindness, delivering milk alongside his father, Earl, from the family truck. Raised by his devoted parents, Ruby and Earl, Jeff grew into a man whose loyalty, compassion, and values of hard work, touched everyone fortunate enough to know him and shaped the wonderful man that he became.
In his early years, Jeff worked at Stroh’s Brewery in Detroit, Michigan, where his dedication and integrity quickly stood out. These qualities remained his compass throughout life, guiding him as a steadfast friend to his cherished childhood companions—Kirk and Denise, Dave and Sandy, Colleen, and later Rick—and so many others from East Detroit High School. Jeff was a wonderful father, a loyal confidant, and a source of strength to all who loved him.
His professional journey led him to a distinguished career in Automotive Quality, culminating in his role as Vice President of Quality for Royal Oak Industries. Yet even in his success, Jeff remained humble, dedicated, and always placing people before position.
In 2005, Jeff faced a daunting diagnosis: brain cancer. But true to his July 4th birthdate, he met it with the spirit of a firecracker-fighter with grit, grace, and resilience. He overcame the odds and, in 2011, retired to Naples, Florida, where he found joy in golf and treasured time with his dear friend Bill.
Jeff’s remembered for his loyalty, boundless generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to others—no matter what the hour, no matter what the need. He was the love of my life, and I will miss him every single day. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched with his kindness, courage, and friendship.
Jeff’s children: Brett, Kyle, Lindsey, and Tristan, his daughter-in-law, Victoria and his beloved grandchildren, Isabella, Austin, and Peyton; and his sisters, Nancy Dinoble, Linda Sjolund, and Amy Baker, will lovingly remember him. He leaves behind loving nieces and nephews, as well as sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who adored him. Jeff preceded the death of his parents, Ruby and Earl Houser, and his brother Danny Houser.
A celebration of life for Jeff will take place in Michigan this October, details to follow. Jeff will be resting at the Chapel of Peace, Hodges Funeral Home, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, FL 34108.
