

He was married to Geneva Ruth Boyd from Marion, KY on October 17, 1953 and enjoyed a loving relationship for 56 years.
Leonard was a graduate of Cass Technical High School, Detroit, MI. where he specialized in an aeronautical course.
He was endorsed by the Honorable Judge John D. Watts, commending him for his truthfulness, veracity, sincerity and loyalty, recommending him for the U.S. Army Air Force Cadets. He served in the Air Force during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
He was a partner in a large meat packing company in Detroit, Michigan, Northwestern K & L Meats until he retired at the age of 70 when he and Geneva moved to Naples, FL.
In his early days he hosted a TV show in Detroit where he discussed the buying and preparation of meat for housewives.
Leonard was a member of the Botanical Gardens Naples and contributed a wide variety of exotic plants and was an avid Gardner himself. He was an accomplished woodworker and turned many beautiful bowls. He had an extensive collection of fine art and enjoyed fine cuisine and loved to cook.
He is survived by many Nephews and Nieces as well as great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife Geneva, June 27, 2009 and his five loving sisters, Viola, Leona, Clara, Virginia and Lucille.
He will be interned at Naples Memorial Gardens, Naples, FL. March 30, 2018 at 10am.
