Linda was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. She loved to help others and became a Social Worker, having a remarkable career that spanned three decades. Even after her retirement, she never stopped helping others. She loved working with the elderly, the developmentally disabled, and anyone else who asked for help, whether in her professional capacity, or as the kind soul she was.
Linda never took "no" for an answer and would tirelessly work to obtain services for those who had been turned down, wearing down and wearing out anyone or anything that was an obstacle to those in need.
She moved to Florida after retiring and met the love of her life, Jack, referring to him as her soul mate, about whom she spoke lovingly, and told everyone this was the person with whom she would spend eternity.
Linda loved cats and always had at least one. It was clear to all that her cats loved her. Wherever she was, there was a cat nearby for her to hold.
From a previous marriage, Linda leaves behind her beloved son, Joshua, and the daughter she always wanted, her daughter in law, Margaret. Her fondest conversations were talking to others about her son, and how proud she was of him, and talking about her daughter in law, who she adored.
While she will be missed by all that knew her, she will be remembered as a blessing to all that met her.
The family requests that her wishes be honored by making a donation to an animal shelter or rescue organization, cancer care and research organizations, or to any organizations that assist military veterans.
