She was my father's cousin, and with her husband the witnesses at my parent's wedding and then my god-parents. They sponsored my father to Canada 1951 and we spent so many Christmases and all important occasions together until they moved to NewYork. But our affection and contact never ended with the distance. We continued to make memories including their participation at my wedding. They took their role as my god-parents seriously as they did being parents, always an example to emulate. I know they are together again after a brief separation and they will never be forgotten in my heart. May they watch over their extended family and rest in the peace of the Lord.

Such a beautiful person. She raised her family with such a wonderful perspective on life and family - seeing it in action, being enhanced daily, it is the best testimonial to her life.
I did not know her long, that is my loss; but that loss is nothing compared to her family’s loss...and the world’s.
Our deepest condolences to her family from Deb and me.

Maria was a sweet lady who befriended me at a crucial time in my life. I had lost my 17 year old son in an accident. She brought me
such comfort since she had already experienced that type of loss
herself. I will surely miss my talks with her. I truly believe that Maria was already an angel when I met her. 🌹

Condolences from Benny Veneziano and the Veneziano family. I grew up with Maria in Vinchiaturo and Staten Island. She was a wonderful woman. I remember the farm in New Jersey and picking tomatoes. So many bushels of tomatoes. We alway had a lot of fun. I am so sorry for your loss.

Maria and I met in S.I Hospital 67 years ago. I had just given birth to my son, Jim and she gave birth to her son,Tony, the next day. We became friends and then lost touch with each other only to find that we lived across the park from each other. When I moved to Naples, Florida she and her husband came to visit. Soon after, the moved to Florida. Busy lives, but always dear friends. Rest easily now, sweet Maria. You will be missed.
