Born Maria Angeline Comparato on July 5th, 1923 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Rosario (nee Moderelli) Comparato.
She was instrumental in the operation and success of Marvel Abrasives, owned by her late husband Armand Maran (Chicago 1972 - 2004). Naples resident from 1972 to present. Parishioner of St. Williams Catholic Church. Member of The Club at Pelican Bay. Avid golf and bridge player. Prosecco enthusiast. Devoted matriarch to our family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Philomena, Frank, John, Connie; her husband, Armand, her daughter Lisa, her grandson Mark Jr. Survivors include her brother Joseph Comparato, her son Mark (Laura) Maran, her granddaughters Amanda Maran, Katie (John) Twohy, Kristina Maran; great-grandmother of Grace Sinwell, Claire Twohy and Margaret Twohy.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 28th at 10:00 am at St. Williams Catholic Church, 601 Seagate Drive.
