Marie A. Frino

November 24, 1924April 15, 2018

Marie A. Frino, 93, of Naples, FL, formerly of Edison, NJ, passed away under the comfort care of family, nurses & aides at Arbor Glen.

Marie was the beloved wife of Michael M. Frino, who preceded her in death. They were high school sweethearts and were married in May of 1948. They were a beautiful example of a loving marriage for all their family to witness.

Marie was born in Newark, NJ, daughter of Angela and Joseph Nittoli. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Michael D. Frino & his wife Margaret, of Naples and Brenda Frino Conneely & her husband Thomas, of Union, NJ. She was a loving grandmother to Michael G. & Lori Frino, Amy (Frino) & Jeffrey Owler, Lindsay (Conneely) & Steven Zahodnick, Thomas (TJ) & Marissa Conneely. She was a proud great-grandmother to her eight great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Gianna, & Giuliana Frino, Owen & Leah Owler, Nolan & Colette Zahodnick, and Lorelai Conneely. She has one surviving sister, Doris Anzano and was predeceased by four sisters, Elaine Mari, Julie Marcell, Eva Mistretta and Carol Camardella and one brother, Anthony Nittoli.

She volunteered with the Naples Community Hospital Auxiliary knitting hats and booties for newborn babies, earning 10,000 volunteer hours. She enjoyed water aerobics, and playing Mexican Train Dominos with friends.

A beautiful celebration of her life was celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, followed by a service at Naples Memorial Gardens. She left us all wanting to be a little more like her ❤️.

Marie, (Mrs. Frino) as I always called her was like my 2nd mom growing up. Brenda & I went to school together from the 1st grade to 12th. We were best friends and spent a lot of time in one another's homes. Marie to me was the Donna Stone (Donna Reed Show, Circa 1960's) of moms. She was extremely pretty, impeccably dressed, not a hair put of place. Stature, Elegance, Warmth. She always made me feel welcome. BANANAS - always in her kitchen. AROMA - of her Italian cooking when I walked into her house. SHOES - always having to take them off when I walked thru front door. POLISH - clean, her house was immaculate. CLEAR PLASTIC - the covering she had on her sofa. LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM/POSTER BED IN HER BEDROOM - I was in awe. HER SMILE - It was beautiful. To Lindsay: Your Grandma has a new purpose, watching over Colette. To Brenda: Your mom's passing was like loosing mine all over again. Luv U to the Moon and Back, thru all Eternity. "P"

Aunt Marie was my second Mom. I will always treasure my memories of sleeping over at her house, watching "color" t.v. while lounging on the carpet and her fabulous chocolate date cookies! My family and Aunt Marie's family spent many vacations together. We had fun in Seaside, Wildwood and Atlantic City. She was ahead of her time, strong and independent. I always admired her so much, that I took her name "Marie" as my confirmation name! Her beautiful smile and loving generous nature will be missed. May she rest in peace....until we meet again in heaven. With love, your Goddaughter, Cindy Maginnis 💖
