Mark “Markie” Aldridge was born on November 24, 1947 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Robert and Marie (Haider) Aldridge. As the youngest of four brothers, he graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1966. He entered the National Guard afterwards and served six years. On October 3, 1970 he married his high school sweetheart Jacki Laska in Roseville. After an apprenticeship, Mark founded his very own successful commercial plumbing contracting company called “Village Plumbing, Inc.” in 1980. He loved his work and took great pride in serving the many long-term clients and customers he developed over four decades. If he wasn’t on the job site, he was on the water. Mark had a passion for boating on the St. Croix River, and with hard work and determination, he worked his way up from purchasing an 18-foot runabout to becoming the proud owner of a 54-foot Hatteras Motor Yacht. Markie also loved projects. (Many, many projects… including building two homes, remodeling four others, and finishing with a 32,000 square foot commercial business center in Lakeland, Minnesota). He also enjoyed snowmobiling, tennis, traveling and of course, spending time with his family, friends, children and grandchild. In all that Mark accomplished, he took incredible pride, integrity, stewardship and care into everything he did.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Jacki Aldridge of Naples, FL, two children, Kristen Mattison (husband Seth Mattison) and Dan Aldridge, his grandchild Austin Aldridge, his brother Bruce Aldridge (wife Sharon Aldridge) of Worcester, MA along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marie, and his brothers Robert and Tom Aldridge.
