Mary was born in Harlem, New York, to Francis and Anthony Pacello on March 13, 1932. Throughout her life, she worked as a bookkeeper, assisting her husband, Jerry, in his family business. When she relocated from New York to Florida, Mary worked as a bagger and handed out food samples at Publix. She loved engaging with all the customers.
Mary had several hobbies, including playing scratch-offs, lottery tickets, Cash Pot, and exploring the aisles at Goodwill. One of her aspirations was to reach 100 years of age to appear on the Smucker’s jar. She particularly enjoyed watching "Days of Our Lives" and various game shows.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her daughter, Lauri Ann; her brother, Rosario (Ross); her mother, Francesca (Francis); and her father, Anthony.
She is survived by her children: Patrick, Joanne, Joseph, Vito, and Anthony. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Veronica Ann, Richard III (RJ), Gino, Sergio, Marco, Stacey, Patrick Jr. (PJ), and Joseph Jr. (Joey)
Mary will be laid to rest at Rest Lawn in Port Charlotte, Florida, where she will reunite with her husband, Jerry.
The family of Mary wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Joel Grossman and his staff, Dr. Shannon Boodhwani and her staff, as well as many others who provided exceptional care during her battle with breast and bone cancer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society to help in the fight against cancer.
