

Michael was the eldest of nine siblings, and was born on February 24, 1944 in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Barbara Higgins Lee and Robert Earl Lee. The family moved to Hialeah, Florida when he was 5 years old.
He was an altar boy and attended church at St. John Apostle Church in Hialeah. He attended John the Apostle Catholic School until 8th grade and graduated from Hialeah High School. His faith in Jesus Christ got him through many difficult lifelong experiences. After graduation he joined the Air Force and served four years as a medic stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. Upon returning to the states, he moved to Naples, Florida and worked as a carpenter for Deltona Corporation where he met his wife Carole.
Michael Lee was a successful business owner of Devlin Roofing in Marco Island and Naples, Florida for many years until his retirement. Michael and his wife Carole volunteered many years of service to the Naples Gators youth football program Police Athletic League from the early 1980s to the late 1990s where he became fondly known as "coach". He was an avid golfer and enjoyed boating and fishing with his family. Michael has touched the lives of more people than can be mentioned through his many acts of kindness over the years.
Michael is survived by his wife of 56 years Carole Anne Devlin Lee, Two children, David Christopher Lee and Deborah Anne Nelson (Lee), Seven grandchildren, Michael, Cory, Skylar, and Trinity Lee and Mary, Jordan, and Kaitlin Forrest, Six siblings, Frances Guthrie (Lee), Kathy Lee, Mary Lee, Joe Lee, Jane Lee, and Judy Klopstad (Lee). He was predeceased by his Son Michael Lee Jr., Daughter Diana Elizabeth Forrest (Lee), Brother Tom Lee, and Sister Barbi MacKenzie (Lee).
A Memorial service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM with friends gathering at 1:30.
