

Morton was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and worked with his father as a printer before beginning his teaching career. He spent over 25 years teaching industrial arts to middle school students in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York before retiring in 1995 and moving to Florida in 1996. He enjoyed a long and happy retirement with his wife, Eleanor, in Palm Harbor and Estero, Florida.
Morton always loved to travel and saw the world several times over. When his son, Joe, was young, he and Eleanor bought an RV and spent the summers touring the country. After retiring, he and Eleanor took dozens of cruises around the world, often joined with other family and friends, new and old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Joseph Rosenberg.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Eleanor Ross, and their son, Joe Ross; his sister, Marlene Rosenberg; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Arato; his son-in-law, Michael Rice, and many other loving relatives, neighbors, and friends.
