She was born in Isle of the Pines, Cuba on May 26th 1940. She lived in Cuba until September 1959 and came to the US with her husband and eight month-year-old son. She proudly became a citizen of the United States of America on July 4th 1973. She lived in Chicago, Texas and California before she settled in Florida and resided there for 52 years.
She welcomed everyone into her house with open arms. She served God and her community by filling out paperwork for American citizenship and volunteering as translator for those who were new to the United States. Nery showed her love by serving her family big meals and enjoyed documenting special occasions with her camera. She worked multiples jobs while faithfully serving Collier County Growth management for thirty-two years.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine Kletka (Kris); and her son Tomas Anderson (Judith); her sisters Reina(Rene) Zafra and Zulema (Zuly) Martinez; her six grandkids; Hannah, Bethany, Sarah, Seth, Steven, Laini and six great grandchildren.
