Pedro A. Placeres, 51 of Naples, passed away suddenly and peacefully Friday, July 6, 2012. He was a devoted husband and an adoring father. He will be remembered as a one of a kind man who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Pedro was a dedicated employee of Xerox Corporation for over 25 years and also served as a committed member of the Collier County Fair Board. He is deeply missed and survived by his loving wife, Olga T. Placeres, his daughter, Kristina A., his son, Daniel A., parents, Pedro D. and Esther Placeres, a half brother, Ernesto C. Perez, sister, Zoila (Raul) E. Pontide, three nieces, Jenni (Steve) Pierce , Jenny Pontide, Diana (Lavi) Ferro, and three nephews, Richie Ryan, Michael Pontide and Andy Pena. As well as many friends and extended family.
The family will welcome friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 5-7 pm at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens where services will follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made, in memory of Pedro, to The Mental Health Association of SW Florida, 2335 9th St N, Suite 404, Naples, FL 34103.
