Richard Charles Boylan

Rick was born in Huntington, Long Island, NY. He was the loving son of Edith Elizabeth (Hill) and Andrew Joseph Boylan of Stony Brook, NY. Rick attended the prestigious Nyack Preparatory School in Southampton, New York. During his time at the school, he was a three sport athlete, receiving varsity letters in wrestling, soccer and lacrosse. He was also an accomplished Cessna 150 pilot, logging over 50 hours of flight time. He attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College in Antrim, New Hampshire. He received his Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Upon graduation, he returned to Stony Brook where fate introduced him to someone with whom he would share the next 49 years of his life. On February 2, 1974, he married the love of his life, Nora Stephanie Glennon at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY. This was the first of many Groundhog Days they would celebrate together.

Rick and Nora moved to Naples, Florida to begin their new life as a family. They were blessed with the births of their son, Brian Thomas Boylan and daughter, Kimberly Anne Boylan. Rick became the collection's manager at Cape Coral Hospital, where he would stay for eight years. He moved on to become a licensed insurance agent at AAA Auto Club South, where he remained until his retirement in 2012.

Rick and Nora were blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Ella Veronica Ahlbrandt (2010) and Liam Patrick Ahlbrandt (2012).

Rick's hobbies included a love of art, landscaping, photography and music. He enjoyed seeing his favorite artists live and sharing his love and knowledge of music with others.

He is survived by his wife, two children, two grandchildren, sister (Agnes Merriman Boylan) and brother (Andrew Jackson Boylan).

In the words of his favorite artist, John Lennon, "Though I know I'll never lose affection, for people and things that went before. I know I'll often stop and think about them, in my life, I love you more."
